Faculty members took part in a panel discussion titled “AI in Education: Empowering Learning or Encouraging Dependence?” on May 21, 2025.
Organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science in collaboration with the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM), the event featured Prof. Ts. Dr. Dayang Norhayati and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Hazarina Hashim as panelists, with Dr. Ahmad Saifullah Sami serving as the moderator. The discussion focused on the transformative impact of artificial intelligence in education, examining whether AI empowers learning or encourages dependence among students.

On (November 14, 2023), under the supervision of Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, department of Software Engineering, hosted an webinar facilitated by UTM at Qaiwan International University. The session provided a comprehensive overview of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) jobs, focusing on learning outcomes related to the ICT job landscape. It aimed to enhance understanding of current trends, demands, and growth areas within the field of Information and Communication Technology.
On April 30, 2025, a workshop was organized on the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence at the university, where students were guided on how to use AI as an assistant responsibly by the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, Department of Biomedical Engineering.
